A Conversation with Walter Bueggemann

Here’s a great conversation (interview) with Walter Bueggemann at the Abilene Christian University Summit Lectures being interviewed by Mark Hamilton (OT Professor at ACU).  It’s worth the listen in my opinion.  I’ve read several books by Brueggemann and like his books, his replies are challenging, thought-provoking, and encouraging.

  1. Well, hmmm. yes, the military-industrial complex, and consumerism…but then, any progressive writer in the Huffington Post would have said the same, and have no finger in the Old Testament. His critique is a politically correct one, still. I recommend, John Chrysostom, On Wealth and Poverty. he proved his faithfulness to Jesus, by his martyrdom by exile for his preachings. That is a man I can listen to.
